Our days are full. Full of love and life.

It’s Saturday morning and all is quiet. Rob is home for the weekend so he and Will are at the golf course. Jim is at the Global Mission Focus Weekend breakfast.

I am putting off…cleaning, planning and making a list for the Thanksgiving holiday. There is room in the refrigerator for the turkey to thaw. I need to write out the script for speaking in 2 ABF’s in the morning. ABF is what our church calls adult Sunday schools; Adult Bible Fellowship.

I have the slide show ready. During the last training module with Entrust, I learned the how to’s of preparing a message. I already practiced most of it but the discipline of rehearsals and working against a clock was good! Continuing to improve my skills in teaching, speaking and facilitating is important to me. I have learned so much through those 4 modules  Completing them in 16 months was a marathon but so worth it. Normally it takes 2 – 3 years because of cost and schedules. Having both was a huge blessing from God. The real blessing is training others! Growing with them in Christ and improving ministry skills is exciting.

JIm’s long awaited ENT specialist appointment went well. The doctor prescribed a course of treatment and possible therapy. At long last. Praying it will all be effective.

Dinner last night with all of us here was a love feast for me. Having them all around hte table is something I will never tired of or take for granted. We spent too many years spread out over 3 continents. Note, not counties, cities or countries. Continents!

Rob returns with his girlfriend Wednesday after their classes are over. Graduation adn job hunting is formost on thier minds. Less than a month away!

Nancy, Nathan and Sweet Peas are off to his sister’s where they will all converge. His brother in law deploys Saturday. I remember those days. Bittersweet to celebrate those last ….before deployments of husband and son.

The chairs around the table will be fewer. No matter.

Our days are full. Full of love and life.

About chinamom3078

I am a woman who loves Jesus who loved me first. Prone to wander and distraction is common for me as I seek to reflect Him in my daily life. I am wife, mom, and grandma who has lived on 3 continents in 26+ apartments, townhouses, military housing, suburbs and now a 200 plus year old farm house. Preparing and hosting meals for the hundreds who have passsed through our home has been a joy and blessing to our family as we listened and shared over meals, coffee, light nights and Bible studies. A rich life! I have reached the age to feel qualifies to be an ”older woman” (as in Titus) even though I feel far from old and have plenty of room to grow each and everyday. And my joy is to teach Bible studies and help train other women to lead well.
