Night at the Theater

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! was playing at the Fulton, our town’s opera house from old.  We spiffied up, ate out and strolled before the curtain went up.

Lancaster is an old city.  During the Revolution, it was the capital for a day as the government stayed the night on the run.

Today it is know as Amish country.  The county is the birth place of Conestoga wagons, the mode of transport for pioneers expanding the country’s borders.

Summer days bring out the painted pianos.

A bit of whimsy.

Inside the Fulton, is a door tucked away in one of the halls.                                        An old door..to a jail.

A book tucked away in my purse was wisked out for the Love Princess to keep reading in a another nook.

The interior is from days gone by of elegance.  We love entering into the world of the stage where our imaginations paired wiht the actors and staging to be taken away for a few hours.  Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was a fun play. We had a great time, a great kick off for our summer.

And there is nothing like a sweet welcome back home!

Blessings, Linda

About chinamom3078

I am a woman who loves Jesus who loved me first. Prone to wander and distraction is common for me as I seek to reflect Him in my daily life. I am wife, mom, and grandma who has lived on 3 continents in 26+ apartments, townhouses, military housing, suburbs and now a 200 plus year old farm house. Preparing and hosting meals for the hundreds who have passsed through our home has been a joy and blessing to our family as we listened and shared over meals, coffee, light nights and Bible studies. A rich life! I have reached the age to feel qualifies to be an ”older woman” (as in Titus) even though I feel far from old and have plenty of room to grow each and everyday. And my joy is to teach Bible studies and help train other women to lead well.
