Drippy Day

It is another day of wimpy weather for our area; promises of snow, rain and ice that will stop the dailies have fallen short.

Still, it is just enough to stop the school buses and keep us house bound. The roads are clear so we can go out; we just don’t want to take off our PJ’s.

The Love Gals are bored with scraping.  Well, being tweenies, they don’t stick to very much for very long before bouncing off to another way to occupy their time. Despite what the Tiger Mom says, on my house piano practice can only happen for so long per day. The homework is all done. Practice flash cards? I would be hard pressed to say who would be more miserable!

Can you tell we have been house bound by weather for a few days?  Add to that a nasty cold with a tiring cough and drippy nose and you get too much energy from some and clearly not enough from Mom. Plus a puppy who love to bite and pull.

On the other hand, we all know who  Mubarak is and have held our breaths as destruction in the Egypt National Museum is reported. The struggle to keep ahead of all the dishes swing hourly from victory to defeat. All out of dishwasher soap here. More on the way tonight; Jim already made the stop on his way to the office.

There are 3 generations in this house…2 boomers, one just missed being an X’er and 3 mosaics.  Plus one dog who is annoyed by the new gal in town, basset hound puppy.

Though we love each other a “bushel and a pickle” but today we are ready for some SPACE.  The guys have retreated to their rooms. The girls have finally stopped race around screaming and singing.  I have read more blogs that should be allowed. The dogs are worn out too. Shadow has already gone to her normal slepping place, one of the Love Gal‘s beds. Boomer is in her room, a temporary until she is trained.

And I am headed to my own room.  Love my Kindle!

Hope you are enjoying your day!

Blessings, Linda

About chinamom3078

I am a woman who loves Jesus who loved me first. Prone to wander and distraction is common for me as I seek to reflect Him in my daily life. I am wife, mom, and grandma who has lived on 3 continents in 26+ apartments, townhouses, military housing, suburbs and now a 200 plus year old farm house. Preparing and hosting meals for the hundreds who have passsed through our home has been a joy and blessing to our family as we listened and shared over meals, coffee, light nights and Bible studies. A rich life! I have reached the age to feel qualifies to be an ”older woman” (as in Titus) even though I feel far from old and have plenty of room to grow each and everyday. And my joy is to teach Bible studies and help train other women to lead well.
