Find the Light!

It was an afternoon, late in the summer. The sun was bright, almost blinding. We went out to take those photos I wanted before the light slipped away.  I love how they turned out.  Amazingly how the camera can capture personalities that maybe you couldn’t have explained exactly but here is is, right there on their lovely faces.

is amazing!

I had a blast and think they did too.  I am not a photographer so really have no way to just show off what I think are some pretty amazing photos.  So…here they are!

(Love Bug photos are  next!)

I played a little bit with the effects.

Go to my other site to see some other results and more about the love gals.

is so enchanting.

Not bad for a point and shoot digital.  (Canon Power shot SD750 Digital)

Words of encouragement from my brother, an excellent photographer!  He’s a great chief too.

Photography is about light. I have heard so many professional photographers say this, that they need only a point and shoot and they can out shoot a novice with a big camera. I even read once that an Sports Illustrated Swimsuit photographer did actually use an Olympus point and shoot (it was water tight).
Find the light! Well, the photographic light, that is, I know you have His light in your heart.

Let me know what you think!  What are other settings do you use when you photograph your family?

About chinamom3078

I am a woman who loves Jesus who loved me first. Prone to wander and distraction is common for me as I seek to reflect Him in my daily life. I am wife, mom, and grandma who has lived on 3 continents in 26+ apartments, townhouses, military housing, suburbs and now a 200 plus year old farm house. Preparing and hosting meals for the hundreds who have passsed through our home has been a joy and blessing to our family as we listened and shared over meals, coffee, light nights and Bible studies. A rich life! I have reached the age to feel qualifies to be an ”older woman” (as in Titus) even though I feel far from old and have plenty of room to grow each and everyday. And my joy is to teach Bible studies and help train other women to lead well.
