Golden Days

Autumn has been glorious this year. It is hands down my favorite time of year.  One afternoon driving up to our home it seemed as though we were in a world of GOLD.  So beautiful. So blessed.  Many years we have lived where autumn is dismal and grey so I do tend to go on and on about the beauty surrounding us.

Though the gold and rich colors represent a death of sorts, the crisp morning air is full of promise and the anticipation of warm afternoons and evenings ending cozy with soft quilts, reading aloud together and soft kisses for bedtime.

A lot of first’s and beginnings happen. I have always liked how the end of summer and beginning of autumn marked a new year in the Bible. First days of school, the beginning of new Bible studies and children programs.  Cool mornings and warm afternoons are cherished. More than one afternoon the light has been worthy of pausing for leisurely enjoyment on the porch. If the “Dad” is willing, we often have a pre-dinner fire in the back yard fire basin. This year we have been surrounded by

GOLD.

Golden Fields, Vines, Leaves and LIGHT.

Hope your days are blessed too.

About chinamom3078

I am a woman who loves Jesus who loved me first. Prone to wander and distraction is common for me as I seek to reflect Him in my daily life. I am wife, mom, and grandma who has lived on 3 continents in 26+ apartments, townhouses, military housing, suburbs and now a 200 plus year old farm house. Preparing and hosting meals for the hundreds who have passsed through our home has been a joy and blessing to our family as we listened and shared over meals, coffee, light nights and Bible studies. A rich life! I have reached the age to feel qualifies to be an ”older woman” (as in Titus) even though I feel far from old and have plenty of room to grow each and everyday. And my joy is to teach Bible studies and help train other women to lead well.
