Winter Birthday

She is not my baby anymore. She has her own baby now.
Nevertheless, I still call her  Sweetie.

Sweet Pea, the Love Gals round the number to FOUR!
I love calling them all“my girls”.
It just gives me a little thrill!  They are all so terrific and I am so proud of them.
And soon there will be six of them!!! Twins cuties are on the way! Soon!!

I used Autumn by Lenox.

For the last few years, my husband has given me some each Christmas and birthday. The whole set started  for us with a large oval bowl purchased for $10 at an auction!

It was the china I had always wanted even before marriage. We did not get them when we married but did receive two other sets from both sides of the family including the Cauldon China.

This elegant china was from my husband’s Aunt Daisy.
It is numbered Brown-Westhead’s Cauldon China, England.
It never ever goes into the dishwasher! Ever!

The understated elegance and beauty is timeless.
It pairs beautifully with the Autumn.
These lush winter white roses are perfect for a lady’s birthday table.
The vases are repurposed from Colonial Candles double wick oval candles.
They are my very favorite vases! I use them constantly!
Perfect height and size  for flowers, conversation and my table.

The winter white theme continues.
My Christmas white poinsettia given to my by Will, one of my sons.
He remembered they were the flowers I carried for my Christmas wedding years ago.
The large holders are from The Old Mill House. The smaller table votive holders are from Pier One.
Isn’t there something very special about candle light?
But we turn on the lamps when it is time to eat!  There are not enough candles to suit my family!
This picture includes my three daughters.
Notice Sweetie’s family birthday hat!

Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Blessings,

Linda

About chinamom3078

I am a woman who loves Jesus who loved me first. Prone to wander and distraction is common for me as I seek to reflect Him in my daily life. I am wife, mom, and grandma who has lived on 3 continents in 26+ apartments, townhouses, military housing, suburbs and now a 200 plus year old farm house. Preparing and hosting meals for the hundreds who have passsed through our home has been a joy and blessing to our family as we listened and shared over meals, coffee, light nights and Bible studies. A rich life! I have reached the age to feel qualifies to be an ”older woman” (as in Titus) even though I feel far from old and have plenty of room to grow each and everyday. And my joy is to teach Bible studies and help train other women to lead well.

Your china is beautiful…I can see why it has been your favorite. Lovely table, Linda.

  5. The Lenox Autumn is such a classic and beautiful pattern…but not quite as beautiful as your three gorgeous girls. You could see from the looks in their eyes that you made them feel so very special by using the ‘good stuff.’ Thank you for sharing your lovely design. Cherry Kay
