“Building Up” in New Orleans post-Katrina, Will on spring break work team
Love is Never Wasted.
It is unmeasurable. Sure there are kid’s book that measure love only to illustrate an abstract truth to a small child who thinks in concrete ways. Love you to the moon and back. How many parents and kids have expanded topped that with their own saying.
This blog’s name is taken from our family saying. It came about when Love Princess an old familiar saying most of us have heard before especially if you are from the south. I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck. Love Princess just couldn’t get it right. It turned in to “love you a bushel and a pickle”.
Love is never wasted.
Even when rejected by someone I gave love to, even when I want to demand a return on my investment, I can not. Must not. Because it was given freely and to demand a return would be like the servant who was forgiven a debt and then demanded payment from one who owed him.
Love is never wasted.
I may never know how any love I gave affected anyone.
My suspicions are that given love affected me the most. And that gives Him pleasure.
It is building me up to be more like Him.
Love is never wasted.
